Pure Feed Company Pure Meadow Mash is a fast soaking micro pellet hay replacer. It contains a blend of high quality fibres and herbs for optimum gut health and to tempt even the fussiest eaters. Formulated for all horses and ponies especially those with poor dentition, horses with dust sensitivity and those requiring a low sugar and starch diet.

Meadow Mash is a high fibre, low sugar and starch feed with added nutritional benefits. The seven different herbs improve palatability and will tempt even the fussiest of eaters. It can also be used as a partial hay replacer.   Formally known as Pure Graze

Key benefits:

  • Low sugar and starch content – suitable for those needing a low starch diet due to laminitis
  • Quick soaking
  • A great source for additional hydration when soaked.
  • Palatable – with added herbs and mint to tempt fussy eaters
  • High fibre, with added pre and pro biotic to support gut health
  • Ideal for older horses or those with poor dentition
  • Can be used as a low dust alternative forage to hay or when turnout is limited.

Pure Meadow Mash is a high fibre micro-pellet that soaks to form a soft, easy to chew mash. It is free from molasses and wholegrain cereals making it low in both sugar and starch. This makes it suitable to feed to horses that need a low starch diet or those that can be excitable. The high quality fibre, and added pre and probiotics help to support your horse’s digestive system. Our combination of super fibres retain water to help maintain hydration and increase your horse’s fluid intake. The feed soaks in as little as 5 minutes making it quick and easy to prepare. Soak 2 parts water to 1 part feed until a soft mash is formed. With a combination of 7 different herbs for extra palatability Pure Meadow Mash is sure to tempt even the fussiest of horses.

Pure Meadow Mash is suitable for all horses and ponies including older horses or those with poor dentition that struggle to chew hay, competition horses to help increase their fluid and fibre intake, horses with limited grazing, horses on box rest to help relieve boredom or those that need a low dust alternative to hay.

Pure Meadow Mash can be used as a partial hay replacer and fed up to 1kg per 100kg bodyweight per day. When used as a hay replacer this should be split across at least 3 servings per day. Pure Meadow Mash contains no added vitamins and minerals so can be fed at higher levels without causing a dietary imbalance. Meadow Mash can be fed in buckets around the stable to help mimic the horse’s natural foraging behaviour and natural head position when grazing. As with any new feed, Pure Meadow Mash should be introduced gradually and the amount fed per day should be slowly increased over a period of 14 days until you reach the required level to maintain condition.

Soaking instructions:
Soak 2 parts water to 1 part feed in a shallow bucket and stir. Leave for 5 minutes or until a soft mash has formed.
