Versele-Laga Country’s Best SHOW 1 & 2 Crumble is a complete combined starter and grower feed for chicks of pheasants, partridges, guinea fowl, quail and ornamental fowl, including peafowl. This 5kg feed contains 23% protein and uses a crumble throughout the early feeding programme.
It is a separate formulation from SHOW 1 Crumble and SHOW 2 Pellet. The formula contains a coccidiostat and includes omega-3 fatty acids and natural pigments for feather condition.
Feeding guidance
Feed freely from the first day through the first 12 weeks, with the move to the next feed around week 13. Follow the feeding programme for the species and exact product.
Provide suitable grit and a plentiful supply of clean drinking water. Bag size: 5kg.
For very young chicks, use a low feeding tray or offer feed on paper during the first few days to help them learn to eat. The crumble format suits both smaller and larger ornamental species.
Feeding precautions
- Do not feed during the five days before slaughter.
- Avoid using alongside drinking water supplemented with choline chloride.
- Keep away from horses and other equines: this feed is dangerous to them.
- Some medicines, including tiamulin, may be incompatible with this feed. Check compatibility before using it alongside medication.
- Do not combine different organic acids or their salts when any is already at or close to its maximum permitted level.
Peafowl feeding FAQ
Is this a smaller bag of SHOW 1?
No. SHOW 1 & 2 is a separate combined starter/grower crumble with 23% protein. Follow its own feeding instructions. It is also different from SHOW 2 Pellet.
For peafowl, the change of feed around week 13 does not mean that the birds are biologically mature.
