With triple-layered cooling technology, the Ruff and Tumble Cooling Coat gives active dog owners control and reassurance on warm days. Whether it's sunny outdoors or warm indoors, the Cooling Coat will keep your dog cool and refreshed — allowing you both to enjoy summer adventures with confidence.
Simple to use and quick-acting: soak the Cooling Coat in cold water, wring it out, clip it on, and the cooling effect starts to work immediately.
Using evaporative cooling technology, three layers work together to regulate your dog's heat:
For continuous cooling, regularly recharge the coat to ensure the central layer remains soaked at all times.
It is always advised to use Cooling Gear as a preventative measure rather than waiting until your dog is overheating. Always seek shade and provide water on warmer days — and note that different dogs tolerate different temperatures depending on their breed, size, coat, age, and weight.
A Cooling Coat is something you'd pack — with water to recharge it — on a normal warmish day when you're out and about. It's ideal for car journeys, walks in the shade, time at home, or any situation where your dog may risk getting too warm. Active dogs and owners welcome Cooling Coats as a way of keeping dogs comfortable when exercising on milder warm days.
Important: Cooling Coats are designed to keep a cool dog cool — not to cool a dog that is already overheating. They are not a treatment for heatstroke. Heatstroke is serious, can happen quickly, and can be fatal. Over-reliance on cooling gear in extreme temperatures is dangerous.
Cooling Coat sizes differ from Drying Coat sizes. Please double-check your measurements using the guide below.
To determine the right size, measure your dog's chest and topline (from the shoulder blades to the start of the tail). Sizes are adjustable using the sliders on the chest straps. If your dog is between two sizes, we recommend taking the smaller size.

| CHEST (CM) | TOPLINE (CM) | RECOMMENDED BREEDS | |
| XS | 35 – 55 | 33 – 40 | Most Terriers, Bichon Frise, Pug, Westie, Miniature Dachshund |
| S | 45 – 73 | 40 – 50 | Cocker Spaniel, Staffie, Cockerpoo, French Bulldog |
| M | 58 – 86 | 50 – 60 | Labrador, Small Retriever, Border Collie, Bigger Springer Spaniel |
| L | 68 – 97 | 60 – 75 | Large Labrador, Setter, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Rottweiler |
| XL | 89 – 116 | 75 – 100 | Bernese Mountain Dog, Great Dane, Newfoundland, Irish Wolfhound, St Bernard |
